Terms and Conditions, SKULOS

These terms govern access to and use of the SKULOS platform. By registering a school, creating an account, or using the service, you agree to these terms. Please also read our Privacy Policy, which forms part of this agreement.

Agreement

This is an agreement between SKULOS and the school or individual using the platform. If you are accepting these terms for a school, you confirm that you are authorised to do so on the school's behalf.

Definitions

Platform means the SKULOS web application and related services.
School means an institution that subscribes to or uses the platform.
User means any person who signs in, including owners, administrators, staff, parents and students.
Subscription means a school's paid plan, billed per active student per academic term.

Accounts and eligibility

You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for keeping your login credentials secure. You must tell us promptly if you believe an account has been accessed without permission. Each person should use their own account, since access across the platform is governed by the permissions assigned to that account.

Subscriptions, trial and billing

Subscriptions are priced per active student, per academic term. A school may pay termly or annually, and annual billing is calculated as three times the termly rate. Every new school may begin with one free academic term. During the free term nothing is charged automatically. Before the free term ends, the school chooses a plan to continue, and no payment is taken without the school's confirmation. Plan prices and the features included in each plan may be updated over time, and any change is applied from the next billing period.

Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the platform. This includes not attempting to access data belonging to another school, not disrupting or probing the security of the service, not uploading unlawful or harmful content, and not using the platform to break any law that applies to you.

School and user responsibilities

A school is responsible for the personal data it enters and for having a lawful basis to do so, including in respect of students, parents and staff. Schools are responsible for configuring their own settings, permissions, grading and communication preferences, and for how they use the platform day to day.

Data ownership

A school owns the records it enters. We process that data on the school's behalf to provide the service, as described in the Privacy Policy. A school can export its data, and on leaving, its data is deleted or anonymised in line with our arrangement with that school.

Intellectual property

The platform, including its software, design and content that we provide, belongs to SKULOS and is protected by law. These terms do not transfer any of our intellectual property to you. Content that a school uploads remains the school's own.

Third party services

The platform works with third party services, such as payment gateways and message delivery providers, to offer certain features. Your use of those features may also be subject to the third party's own terms, and we are not responsible for services we do not control.

Availability and changes

We work to keep the platform available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may carry out maintenance, and we may add, change or remove features as the platform evolves. Where a change materially affects how you use the service, we will aim to give reasonable notice.

Suspension and termination

A school may stop using the platform at the end of its billing period. We may suspend or end access where these terms are breached, where required by law, or where continued use poses a security or safety risk. Before ending access, a school will normally have the opportunity to export its data unless the law prevents it.

Disclaimers and liability

The platform is provided on a reasonable efforts basis. To the extent the law allows, we exclude implied warranties, and our liability for any claim connected to the service is limited to the amount paid for the service in the period to which the claim relates. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited by law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Where a school is based in another country, mandatory consumer or data protection rights under that country's law continue to apply to that school.
